Colorado is a vote-by-mail state. Every active registered voter is automatically mailed a ballot — but you can also vote in person if you prefer.
To vote in the June 30 Primary, Colorado law requires you to have been a state resident for at least 22 days before Election Day — since June 8, 2026. If you moved to Colorado after that date, it's too late to register for this election. If you already meet the residency requirement, you can still register in person — including same-day at a voter service center — and vote through 7:00 p.m. MT on June 30.
To register in Colorado you must be a U.S. citizen, a Colorado resident for at least 22 days before the election, and at least 18 years old on or before Election Day. You may not be serving a sentence for a felony conviction.
If you vote in person in Colorado, you'll need to show ID. If your ID shows your address, that address must be in Colorado. Acceptable forms include:
No ID? You can still cast a provisional ballot. After Election Day, your local election official will determine your eligibility and whether the ballot is counted.
