The Douglas County Community Foundation hosts its fourth annual Heroes Gala — an evening honoring the first responders, military service members, healthcare workers, educators, nonprofit leaders, and volunteers who make Douglas County what it is. The hangar venue brings the mission to life, with first-responder and military vehicle displays, live entertainment, and the awards presentation.
Tim and JoAnna will be a part of it again this year. Every ticket, table, and sponsorship supports the DCCF's work strengthening local nonprofits and feeding the Community Emergency Relief Fund — a cause the Dietz family is proud to stand behind.
Last year's gala sold out, so don't wait to reserve your seat.

The Castle Rock Daughters of the American Revolution dedicated a special art park bench honoring our veterans, presented to the Town at Festival Park. The ceremony featured the American Legion Post 1187 Color Guard alongside town and congressional speakers — a fitting tribute in the year America celebrates its 250th birthday and Colorado marks 150 years of statehood.
Tim Dietz was honored to take part alongside U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert and fellow state and local officials. Honoring the men and women who served, in the heart of downtown where neighbors gather every day — that's what celebrating America is all about.
July 24 – August 2, 2026 · Tim at the fair: opening night, Friday, July 24
The 2026 Douglas County Fair & Rodeo brought ten days of summer fun to Castle Rock. Opening weekend featured live concerts by Trace Adkins and AWOLNATION, and PRCA ProRodeo performances ran through the final weekend, including themed nights — along with the carnival midway, livestock shows, and all the fair traditions Douglas County families look forward to every year.
Tim Dietz was at the fairgrounds on opening night, Friday, July 24, taking in the Trace Adkins concert and connecting with the community of Castle Rock — visiting with neighbors, families, and fairgoers from across the county under the lights of the midway. The fair is Douglas County at its best: hometown, hardworking, and proud of its Western roots.

Ribbon cutting: Thursday, July 30, 2026 · Service launched Friday, July 31
Tim Dietz joined Douglas County Commissioners, Castle Rock officials, CDOT representatives, and Via Transportation at Town Hall to cut the ribbon on Link On Demand — the free, app-based rideshare service that now covers all of Castle Rock, with direct trips to Lone Tree and transfer-hub connections to Highlands Ranch and parts of Parker.
Riders book through the Via app (or by phone at 719‑212‑2430) at no cost, Monday–Thursday 7 AM–7 PM, Friday 7 AM–10 PM, and Saturday 10 AM–10 PM. It's a real lifeline for older adults, people with disabilities, and anyone who just needs a ride to work, a medical appointment, or the store.
The one-year pilot is exactly the kind of smart partnership Tim stands behind: the Town's $400,000 share is multiplied by Douglas County funding and a CDOT grant to deliver a $2 million service for Castle Rock families — local dollars stretched further through cooperation.

Few traditions say Castle Rock like the annual Western Heritage Cattle Drive — real longhorn cattle driven right through the heart of town by local ranchers and riders, kicking off the 2026 Douglas County Fair & Rodeo. It's a living tribute to the drives of the late 1800s, when cattle moved north along historic trails through this very region.
Tim Dietz joined the fun as the herd and the Castle Rock Town Council wagon made their way through downtown — connecting with the community of Castle Rock and celebrating the Western heritage that makes this town what it is.

Wednesday, July 8, 2026 · Plaque dedication & grand opening celebration
The Town of Castle Rock dedicated Lost Canyon Ranch Open Space — 681 acres of rolling grasslands, mature pine forest, hoodoo rock formations, and dramatic canyon cliffs, now protected forever by a permanent conservation easement and open to the public with roughly 10 miles of hiking trails (and five more on the way).
Tim Dietz is named on the bronze dedication plaque as one of the Town Councilmembers under whose administration this open space was envisioned. The roughly $15 million acquisition came together through exactly the kind of partnership Tim champions — a $3 million Great Outdoors Colorado grant, $5.5 million from Douglas County, and support from The Conservation Fund — stretching local dollars to secure a landmark treasure for generations of Castle Rock families.

Faith, family, freedom, and hometown pride — that's what the Fourth means to the Dietz family, and it's what Douglas County is all about. Here's to 250 years of the greatest country on earth, and to the community Tim is proud to call home.

Douglas County Republicans have spoken — decisively. In the June 30 Republican primary, Tim won the nomination for County Treasurer with more than 61% of the vote — over 29,000 votes and a 22-point margin. Thank you, Douglas County, for your overwhelming trust and support.
Now it's on to the General Election. Douglas County mails a ballot to every active registered voter in mid-October. When yours arrives, we encourage you to study your candidates and pick the one whose policies support you the most — we believe Tim has the executive clout and experience to be the Treasurer that Douglas County needs at this time.
Return your ballot by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Ballots must be received by then — an Election Day postmark does not count. To return by mail, send it back by about October 26 to be safe; after that, use any Douglas County ballot drop box (open 24/7 through 7 p.m. on Election Day) or a voter service center.

June 12, 2026 · Northbound on-ramp opens
It's official — the northbound on‑ramp at the new Crystal Valley Interchange on I‑25 opened to traffic on Friday, June 12, 2026, and Tim Dietz was among the first drivers onto the new ramp south of Castle Rock. It's the first piece of the long-awaited interchange to open, with the remaining ramps to follow.
This is a milestone years in the making. Tim was on the ground for the groundbreaking back in September 2024, and he was instrumental in getting this interchange built — for the citizens of Castle Rock and all of Colorado. Once fully open, the new interchange will ease congestion, improve safety, and unlock real relief for drivers and families south of town.
Infrastructure wins like this don't happen on their own. They take years of advocacy, accountability, and leaders who show up — from the first shovel of dirt to the first car across. That's the kind of follow-through Tim will bring to the Treasurer's office.

May 25, 2026 · Memorial Day
Tim Dietz took part in Castle Rock's 2026 Memorial Day observance at the Veterans Memorial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, joining veterans, families, community leaders, and Castle Rock residents to honor the fallen through a solemn name reading ceremony. Castle Rock Mayor Jason Gray and VFW Commander Brian Guenther also took part in the proceedings.
The ceremony centered on reading names aloud, each one representing "a life of service, a family forever changed, and a sacrifice that must never be forgotten." Name by name, the memorial became more than inscribed stone: a recognition of individual lives and their families' enduring loss.
The gathering reflected the core values of the day: gratitude, humility, remembrance, and respect, along with the shared message that Castle Rock, Douglas County, and America honor those who did not return home.

Spring 2026
Members of the Castle Rock Youth Commission participated in a student Day at the Capitol event — engaging with legislators, touring the historic Colorado State Capitol, and watching democracy in action.
The Youth Commission is made up of nine high school students who share an interest in civic engagement and community leadership. They gain hands-on experience with local government, articulate the needs of youth in the community, and help address real issues affecting their peers.
"The Castle Rock Youth Commission is something I strongly advocated for, dedicated time to build and helped structure to last. I didn't have opportunities like this growing up, so I'm grateful Town Council unanimously supported bringing it to life."
— Tim Dietz, Youth Commission Council liaison and District 6 Councilmember
2025 – 2026 Session
One of the first actions of the new Youth Commission was to learn about each Town department from the inside out. Here, members dig into the services provided by Castle Rock Water — one of many sessions designed to give students a real, hands-on understanding of how their town runs.
The commission meets monthly from September through May. Members represent youth across the community, build leadership skills, and connect directly with Town Councilmembers.
"It's important our teens know their voices are heard — they bring a valuable, fresh perspective." — Tim Dietz
Tim championed this commission because he believes tomorrow's leaders deserve a seat at the table today. Applications for grades 10–12 open each spring at CRgov.com/YouthCommission.
April 16, 2026 — National High Five Day
At the Castle Rock Parks & Recreation Commission meeting, Reilly was recognized for an incredible four years of service to the Teen Advisory Group (TAG) — mentoring younger volunteers and setting the standard for what youth leadership looks like in our town.
"Reilly is a leader to the core of his being. He stands out among his peers because of his strong vision and sense of purpose. He has been essential this last year at mentoring the younger students coming into TAG and showing them how to act professionally even in a volunteer position."
— TAG Supervisor, Castle Rock Parks & Recreation
Leading the Teen Advisory in Castle Rock, helping mentor our future leaders — so proud of their work. Programs like TAG, and the Castle Rock Youth Commission Tim championed on Council, are how Douglas County gives the next generation a real seat at the table.
Wednesday, April 8, 2026 · Castle Oaks Drive, northeast Castle Rock
Tim Dietz joined Town leaders and Castle Rock Fire & Rescue to break ground on Fire Station 156 & Logistics Center — the town's sixth fire station, rising on Castle Oaks Drive south of Pleasant View Drive on the town's growing northeast side.
The 26,000-square-foot facility will protect Founders Village, Castle Oaks, Castlewood Ranch, and Liberty Village, housing an engine and a type‑6 brush truck with a paramedic on every shift. A centralized logistics center — fleet maintenance, equipment storage, and supply operations — shares the site, keeping the whole department response-ready. The station is expected to open in September 2027.
Public safety keeping pace with growth — before it's needed, not after — is exactly the kind of planning Tim stands for.
April 2026
Tim Dietz on-site at the construction of Douglas County's new recreation center. This is exactly the kind of family amenity our community needs — a place where our kids can play, our families can gather, and our quality of life goes up.

The Zebulon Regional Sports Complex is coming to Douglas County — a state-of-the-art multi-sport facility on 46.5 acres near Sterling Ranch featuring ice hockey, baseball fields, indoor sports venues, and more.
This is a game-changer for Douglas County families. With an expected $1.3 billion economic impact over the next decade, Zebulon isn't just about sports — it's about investing in our kids, raising our quality of life, and giving our community the amenities we deserve.
Tim Dietz supports projects like Zebulon because he believes Douglas County tax dollars should work for Douglas County families.
March 25, 2026 — Wednesday
Speakers came together in Douglas County to discuss one of the most important issues facing our families today: keeping our children safe online. The conversation covered the real dangers kids face on the internet and practical steps parents and communities can take to protect them.
Tim Dietz was there. He didn't just attend — he got engaged in the conversation, asked questions, and voiced his support for protecting Douglas County kids. This is the kind of leader who shows up when it matters.
Child safety isn't a talking point for Tim — it's a priority.
March 25, 2026
Tim Dietz joined community leaders and project partners for the Topping Out ceremony at the new Castle Rock Sports Complex — a milestone marking the placement of the highest structural beam on the building.
Projects like this don't just happen. They take vision, accountability, and leaders who show up — Tim was there when this project broke ground back in October 2025, and five months later he was proud to stand alongside the team placing the highest beam on another first-class family amenity for Douglas County.
March 25, 2026
At the same Castle Rock Sports Complex Topping Out, Tim added his signature to the ceremonial final beam — a long-standing construction tradition where community members and workers leave their mark on a building that will serve families for generations.
Tim believes in putting your name on the work you stand behind. That's true on a steel beam, and it's true in public office.

No tradition says Castle Rock like the Starlighting — the whole town gathering downtown as the star atop the Rock is lit for the holiday season, a tradition dating back to 1936. Thousands of neighbors filled the streets under canopies of lights for music, vendors, hot cocoa, and the countdown to the big moment.
Tim and JoAnna were right there in the middle of it, celebrating the season with the community they love. When the star on the Rock glows over town, every one of us feels it: this is home.
November 2025
Tim Dietz spent time with a class at Renaissance Middle School, talking with students about Castle Rock — its history, how local government works, and why their community matters.
Engaging the next generation isn't a photo op for Tim. Giving kids a real look at how their town runs — and letting them ask the hard questions — is exactly the kind of civic investment that pays off for decades.
Tuesday, October 28, 2025 · Prairie Hawk Drive at the former Acme Brick factory
Tim Dietz joined Town leaders and project partners to break ground on the Castle Rock Sports Center — the Town's much-anticipated, state-of-the-art 145,000-square-foot indoor recreation facility rising in the Brickyard development on the 10.1‑acre site of the former Acme Brick factory.
More than five years of planning and partnership led to this shovel-turn. When it opens in summer 2027, the Sports Center will bring two competition gymnasiums for basketball, pickleball, and volleyball, a 25‑yard by 25‑meter pool plus warm-up pool, and indoor fitness space — a premier destination for sports, recreation, and community wellness in Castle Rock.
World-class family amenities, delivered through patient planning and partnership — that's the Castle Rock way, and it's the record Tim is proud to run on. Just five months after this shovel-turn, the steel was already up: see the Topping Out ceremony from March 2026.

Some traditions don't need a program or a podium. Every December, Tim and JoAnna make their rounds downtown — the towering town tree in its blue and silver, the shops on Wilcox and Perry, the star glowing on the Rock above it all.
Christmas in Castle Rock is the town at its warmest, and the Dietz family wouldn't spend it anywhere else.
Friday, October 11, 2024 · Grand Opening Celebration
Tim Dietz helped dedicate Emerald Park at its grand opening celebration — an evening of games, music, and food trucks as Castle Rock families got their first crack at the town's newest park, on 7.6 acres next to Plum Creek Golf Club.
The $4.6 million park delivers the goods: playgrounds with a shade structure, pickleball and bocce courts, half-court basketball, a looped concrete path, and real restrooms. It started with the Town's foresight back in 2019 to purchase the land for a future park — plan ahead, buy smart, build right. That's how Castle Rock keeps quality of life rising, and it's the approach Tim brings to every taxpayer dollar.
